If supporting our troops and defending our national security is – as it must be – the singular purpose of the War Supplemental, President Obama’s position on the release of the detainee photos is illogical.  If the president is administratively doing everything he can to prevent these photos’ release, he should welcome not oppose legislative attempts to prevent these photos’ release.

Unfortunately, in trying to keep a promise he made with Americans’ money during the world economic summit, President Obama is focused on securing $108 billion for the International Monetary Fund and the Left-wing votes required for its passage as part of the War Supplemental.  The proper course is for the president to facilitate legislative attempts to support and protect our troops by withholding the detainee photos’ release; and to seek the passage of his $108 billion global bailout in a separate piece of legislation.
